Essential Question #7

In this book we see how humans behave when authority and law are no longer existant. In relation to Question #6, how does the way the man and boy behave fulfill religion as simply a way of life rather than a struggle, like today, to force upon others what you believe, be unsure of what you should believe because of ignorance and distrust, ect...?

Essential Question #6

In this book the man often tells his son that they are carrying the fire throughout their journey. The fire symbolizes the capacity for hope and the ability to love, both qualities which the man and especially the boy possess—as the "good guys". How is carrying the fire similar to what religions presses on all people?
